Steven Eskay began his educational career as an Educational Consultant and Advocate in 2011, a role he skillfully fulfilled until 2019. Steven concurrently juggled this position with several others, illustrating his remarkable dedication and versatility. In 2009, Steven Eskay became a Part-Time Teacher at the Model Learning Center within the Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) system. His instructional expertise spanned English, History, and NSL Government. Subsequently, he transitioned to a Part-Time Co-Teacher position specializing in Special Education. His hard work in this role paved the way for him to assume the mantle of a Special Education Teacher, a position he held from 2013 to 2019.
In 2019, Steven Eskay assumed the Manager of Specialized Instruction role within the DC Public Schools system. Subsequently, Steven transitioned to the position of Assistant Principal, once again within the DC Public Schools organization. This leads us to today. Currently, Steven Eskay serves as the Principal for DC Public Schools.
As Principal, Steven Eskay demonstrates a deep-seated belief that education should drive social change and equity. Through his leadership, he strives to ensure that every student receives a high-quality education that empowers them to succeed. In his position, Steven is responsible for supervising the daily instructional and operational objectives at DCPS Elementary School, which encompasses a student body of more than four hundred students and employs a dedicated staff of sixty individuals. Steven established the “Innovation Lab” as a district-wide exemplar for STEM education and enrichment, and these initiatives collectively contributed to a notable increase in enrollment, reaching its highest level in five years.
